Welcome to PrayerGuard ("the App", "we", "us"). By accessing or using PrayerGuard, you agree to the following Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.
1. Overview
PrayerGuard is a prayer scheduling tool that helps users automatically block prayer times in their Google Calendar. The app requires integration with users' Google accounts to create, update, and manage calendar events.
Your use of the app is voluntary, and you may disconnect Google Calendar at any time.
2. Eligibility
- You must be 13 years or older to use PrayerGuard.
- By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. Google Calendar Integration
By connecting your Google account, you grant PrayerGuard permission to:
- Create calendar events for prayer times
- Update or delete events that PrayerGuard created
- Read only necessary metadata to prevent duplicates
PrayerGuard cannot view, edit, or delete your personal calendar events.
You may revoke access at any time through your Google Account permissions:
4. User Responsibilities
You agree not to:
- Use the App for unlawful purposes
- Attempt to reverse engineer the software
- Interfere with the App's functionality
- Create automated scripts that overload the system
You are responsible for ensuring your Google Calendar settings meet your personal scheduling needs.
5. Data Storage & Security
PrayerGuard stores limited user data necessary to operate the service, including:
- Email address
- Prayer settings
- Location preference (city/country, NOT live tracking)
- Google OAuth tokens (securely encrypted)
All data is stored securely using Supabase with encryption and Row-Level Security (RLS).
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

6. Service Availability
PrayerGuard strives to provide uninterrupted service but cannot guarantee:
- That the App will always be available
- That integrations with Google APIs will always function
- Freedom from bugs, delays, or errors
Google may revoke or modify permissions for apps at any time, which could affect functionality.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You misuse Google Calendar API access
- We detect suspicious or harmful behavior
You may stop using the App at any time by disconnecting your Google account and deleting your profile data.
8. Limitation of Liability
PrayerGuard is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We are not liable for:
- Missed calendar appointments
- Incorrect prayer times due to wrong location settings
- Conflicts with personal or work schedules
- Issues caused by Google Calendar outages or API changes
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PrayerGuard shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. Changes will be posted publicly on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
Your continued use of the App signifies acceptance of the updated Terms.
