🕌 PrayerGuard – Privacy Policy

PrayerGuard ("the App", "we", "us") is designed to help users automatically block prayer times in their Google Calendar. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Google Account Information

When you choose to connect your Google Calendar, we receive:

  • Your Google account email
  • OAuth tokens (access & refresh tokens)
  • Calendar event metadata needed to create/update/delete prayer time blocks

We do not collect:

  • Passwords
  • Personal emails
  • Contacts
  • Content of any calendar events

1.2 Location Information

We store:

  • City, country (manually selected or auto-detected)
  • Coordinates needed to calculate accurate prayer times

We do not track your real-time location.

1.3 App Usage Information

We may store:

  • Which prayer times you selected
  • Days you choose for automatic blocking
  • Whether Google Calendar is connected

This is only used to make the app function properly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We only use your information to:

  • Calculate prayer times based on your selected location
  • Create "busy" events for prayer times in your Google Calendar
  • Update or delete prayer blocks you previously generated
  • Prevent duplicate prayer blocks
  • Maintain your account session on Supabase

We do NOT:

  • Sell your data
  • Share your data with third parties
  • Use your data for advertising

3. How We Store & Protect Your Data

All data is stored securely using Supabase, a fully managed PostgreSQL platform.

Security features:

  • Row-Level Security rules (RLS) to ensure only you can access your data
  • Encrypted OAuth tokens
  • HTTPS for all network communication

We never store:

  • Google passwords
  • Full access to your calendar (we only use /auth/calendar.events)

4. Google Calendar Access

PrayerGuard uses the Google Calendar API to:

  • Create prayer time blocks
  • Update existing prayer blocks
  • Delete prayer blocks created by the app only

The app cannot see or modify any of your personal events that it did not create.

You can revoke access at any time:

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your account
  • Remove your Google Calendar connection
  • Request removal of all stored data
  • Export your data

6. Children's Privacy

PrayerGuard is not intended for users under age 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page.
